Of Tomatoes & Jasmines...

Just as any couple in late 20's, Rajesh and me often keep wondering and thinking of planning for a family. The discussions become more prominent when we visit any friends, having kids - or hear about a close friend - on the family way/delivered a baby. I feel the most and the biggest pleasurable feeling on earth is when you have a offspring of your own - it is even bigger than the feeling you get when you get married to the one "Choosen" for you.
We had a 1/100th of that feeling this weekend - when we saw the first Tomato on our plant(which we have been nursing for like 2 months). Of course, the entire credit to our blossoming little garden goes to Rajesh and Rajesh alone - all I do is supervise it occasionaly, and after having seen a small creepy crawly thing come out from under one of the pots, I have not even dared to step near the plants!!... But I could not resist looking at this tiny little 'baby' of ours... See this ...

About a month ago, when one of our pots became empty, Rajesh dragged a reluctant Me for 'Plant' shopping. And I returned with a happy smile, because we had bought something of my choice - a Jasmine plant! I was so awed, happy, surprised - all-rolled-in-one, on seeing about 6 or 7 of these wonderful smelling plants in the nursery. Each time there are buds, my heart swells in pride :) ... Today morning there were 16 flowers on this tiny little miracle in my house. Here are some of the flowers...

Oh my.. you have a pretty good garden of yours.. Give me some advice on what can grow indoor and what will grow outdoor.. I love plants.. trees and what not

Hey! you can plant a number of things indoor - asparagus, peace lily, crotons are some to begin with. The nursery guy told me that I can keep the jasmine plant inside during winter and can bring it out again in the summer. When we sit on weekends and watch these greens, it gives so much peace to the mind!

i know and i love flowers.. my hero doesnt like the smell of jasmine.. well i should rephrase it.. he gets headache with jasmine smell..

I think I should try the other options you said.. i will keep you updated..

The past two weekends and the week between have been really hectic, so did not find time to pen down anything. Love-cum-Arranged Marriage

This is the latest fashion statement of anybody who is going to get/got recently married. Pray, tell me the meaning of this? Marriages can happen only in 2 ways – you fall in love with somebody, tell your parents – who are gung-ho about it, or who oppose it – convince them in the latter case; and get married. Or, leave that entire mess of finding somebody to your parents/paraphernalia family – browse thru a couple of photos – say yes to one – meet the girl/boy and say a yes/no. The first one called a “Love Marriage” and the second one called an “Arranged marriage”. Now what is this Love-cum-arranged marriage then? Ask an explanation to anybody who says his/her marriage is this type and pat comes the reply – Our parents arranged our meeting and we fell his love and got married. Hey! Does that mean that there are “NoLove-cum-Arranged” marriages also? I thought when you married somebody; you either loved him/her beforehand or got to love your spouse after marriage. Chocolat(i) Chunnu.... Biscutta Bunnu.....

Has it every happened that there is this movie that you just happen to adore beyond reasons and when you tell that to people, who otherwise like your tastes pretty much, look at you as if you have lost your mind ? That you watch the same movie twice in two days and even then you are ready to watch it a third time too, without batting an eyelid ...  This is how I am feeling about 'Jagga Jasoos'. I keep scouring the internet hoping for news that the movie is as hit as I am feeling it should be. Everytime I ask a friend to watch the movie, I am hoping he/she feels what I felt about the movie - that I loved every frame of the movie (except of that really unnecessary "khana-peena-chale-gaye" song).
